My son, Troy Dean Carney, age 44, was born in Lewiston Maine. My first child. Troy attended local schools. He also lived in Michigan, and went into sports. He was on the Track team, Wrestling team and Karate. He also loved mountain biking, camping out, and was also a good singer, so love to sing karaoke. In his leisure time he loved to work out. He enjoyed fishing, watching football, very interested in bodybuilding and loved to travel. He traveled from the east coast to the west coast earning his way by tractor trailer. Troy had been in every state and city in the United State except Alaska. He said to me, Mom, if I died today, I lived my life cause I have been and seen more places then most people would see in a life time. His next goal was making his way to Alaska. Troy was a kind, generous, very friendly guy that could talk your ear off.

Troy had gone into a grocery store to purchase and few things he needed. He was standing in line at the check-out when he noticed an elderly lady in line in front of him. She put her grocery's on the check-out counter then handed the cashire the money. The cashier told her, she didn't have enought money. He realized she was searching her purse for more money and didn't have anymore, so she began putting some grocery's back into the cart. Troy stepped up and handed the cashire money, put her grocery's back on the counter, then helped her to her car. Troy was also a newspaper delivery boy and while delivering newspaper's he was always bringing home dirty stray Cats. Said he felt bad for them, so he took care of them till he found them a home. He always found homes for them. He didn't like it when girls wore makeup.
Troy was laid to rest in Maine, on October, 25, 2008 at 2:30pm.
Troy's stone marker say's "I travel not to go anywhere, but to go"
